2. The permanent HVAC system must be set at a minimum on 65° F for 48 hours prior to, during and after the installation, and a minimum temperature of 55° F should be maintained thereafter

Material Storage & Handling
1. Please check that all material is the same batch and lot number, and to minimize shading variations, please mix and install tiles from several different cartons if the lot numbers are not identical
2. All flooring material and adhesive should be allowed to acclimate to room conditions for a minimum of 24 hours prior to beginning the installation
3. Please inspect all material for visual defects prior to installation. Do not install any material with obvious defects.
4. Should a defect be discovered during installation, please stop and contact your DECORIA distributor for further instructions

Subfloors
1. It is essential that all subfloors by rigid, finished, smooth, flat, level, permanently dry, clean and free of all foreign materials such as dust, paint, grease, oils, solvents, curing and parting compounds, sealers
and old adhesive residue.
2. The responsibility for determining the suitability of the subfloor rests solely with the flooring installer
3. All subfloor/underlayment patching must be done with a non-shrinking, waterresistant Portland cement compound.
4. Moisture test results MUST be less than 3 lbs. per 1,000 ft² prior to installation

Installation
1. Prepare all rulers, cutters, adhesives, spreaders and compass dividers before commencing work
2. Find the center of the floor by marking vertical & horizontal lines across the floor
3. Measure the squareness of the marked lines and then work from the center outwards, and leave approximately 1mm between the floors and wall
4. Be sure to follow the instructions of the adhesive manufacturer in regards to working time and equipment recommendations

Adhesive
1. Use an adhesive designed for the permanent installation of vinyl planks and vinyl backed tile. The adhesive must be acrylic-based, plasticizer resistant and develop strong bond strength to limit dimensional movement of the flooring
2. Use only an acrylic-based adhesive to install the tiles. Daejin America recommends Mapei’s ECO 350 or Altro’s EcoFix 25. Please consult your local distributor for suitable alternatives.
3. For the ECO 350, use a 1/32” x 1/16” x 1/32” notched trowel
4. Install flooring material into wet adhesive; periodically check to confirm proper adhesive transfer to the backing
5. Roll flooring material with a minimum 100 lbs. roller, immediately after placed into adhesive, to set the tiles
6. Restrict foot traffic for 24 hours and rolling loads for 72 hours to assure proper setting of the adhesive and prevent indentations
7. Remember to lay all tiles in the same direction by insuring that the arrows printed on the backing face in the same direction, and stagger the tiles to your satisfaction
